Ownership

Your repo from commit one

Most website work is not a new website. It is a site that was built quickly two years ago, has been edited by four people since, and now takes six seconds to load on the connection the people buying from you actually use.

We do both. A new build starts from what the site has to do, not from a template. A rescue starts from measurement, because the thing everyone assumes is slow usually is not.

What the work covers

Marketing sites and landing pages

Design and build for sites whose job is to explain something and get a response. Structured so a page can be added later without a redesign.

Redesigns and performance rescue

Rebuilding what is already live, keeping the URLs and the rankings intact. Redirect maps, canonical checks and Core Web Vitals measured before and after.

Headless CMS and content workflows

Editing that a non-developer can use, with a content model that matches how your team actually writes rather than one field called "body".

Motion, interaction and art direction

Animation that carries meaning and degrades safely. Every effect has a reduced-motion path and a version that works when JavaScript has not loaded yet.

Accessibility and semantic structure

Real headings, real landmarks, keyboard paths that work. This is also most of technical SEO, which is why the two are never separate jobs here.

Analytics and search setup

Sitemap, robots, canonical tags, structured data and Search Console, configured and verified rather than installed and assumed.

What goes wrong with website projects

Not a list of things other people do badly. These are the ones worth checking before anybody quotes you.

  • 01A redesign that drops the old URLs. Rankings collapse the week it launches, and nobody connects the two for a month. Redirects are part of the build, not a follow-up ticket.
  • 02A page that scores well in the lab and badly in the field. Lighthouse runs on a fast machine on a fast connection. Field data comes from real phones, and it is the one Google uses.
  • 03A CMS nobody can use, so every copy change comes back to the agency as a paid ticket. That is a business model, not a build.
  • 04Animation added at the end. Motion decided after the layout is fixed is the kind that fights the scroll, breaks on touch, and gets switched off.
  • 05Images shipped at full size behind CSS that scales them down. It is the single commonest reason a good-looking site is slow.

Questions we get asked

Yes, and it is the part we plan first. Existing URLs are mapped, redirects are written before launch, canonicals and structured data are carried over, and Search Console is watched for the weeks after. Rankings move when URLs change silently, not when a site is rebuilt carefully.
